What’s the plan, business woman?

opbp-august09One day. One page. One plan. One dream come true.

At least it was for me. I went from frantically running in place at high speed, to jogging along happily in the direction of my business dream. Only it wasn’t just a dream: it was a plan. And it became a reality. Amazingly (to us, if not to the Biz Diva), my partner and I laid out what exactly—financially, culturally, and practically—we wanted our business to look like. And, at the end of the year, when we went back to review, we were so close. Within 3% of our financial projections—which, when we made them, seemed a little hard to imagine. We had the clients we wanted. We were doing the work we planned on. It was magic.

But it wasn’t magic. It was the One Page Business Plan®.

Now you can experience the magic for yourself. The Biz Diva is giving a One Page Business Plan One Day Course on August 17 in Santa Rosa. If you don’t have a workable, practical plan, you can’t afford to miss this class.

You can go here to learn more about what the class includes, and to sign up online.

Here is the online flyer for the specific class.

And may I suggest that you take advantage of the “early bird” sign-up and save $50. That bird will fly August 3, so do it this week!

So you know how I’m always talking about the importance of a plan? And you’re always saying, “Yeah, I know I need a plan. But you know I’ve got this business to run? Where does a millionairess-in-training get the time?” The Biz Diva heard you. She’s winnowed it all down to the basics. Now you can create a One Page Business Plan in one day! Yes, you read that right: a plan in a day.

I know what you’re going to say next: “Those One Page Business Plan courses cost thousands of dollars! Did you forget there’s a recession on?” No. The Biz Diva knew you were going to say that. She “sharpened her pencil” (oh, I used to hate to hear that when I was in the corporate world!) and came up with the very affordable price of $249. But she knew you were going to keep on whining, so she said, just for you, you very very frugal types, the cost is $199. If you register at her site by April 13. That’s a week away.

$199 for what many entrepreneurs have called the single most powerful tool for their business.

What are you waiting for?

If you know anyone who could use this class, please forward this post to them. And by “anyone who could use this class” we mean anyone with a business who doesn’t have a plan. Just click on that little envelope down there.

Make it New

March 9, 2009

Leverage your knowledge and expertise.
My clients who are successfully navigating the new economic paradigm are thinking creatively.
For example, a health and wellness studio had some physical space that they thought of as dead weight. They thought they might rent it out to an esthetician or a masseuse to get some additional income. When we met, [...]

The solution to all our problems…

March 5, 2009

Okay, maybe not all our problems. But I often think it’d be nice to have my priorities with me always. Something to remind me what I should be concentrating on. Maybe this is where my business plan action items go!  What do you think, could you benefit from a “To Do Tattoo“? I know I [...]
