88449088The Biz Diva facilitates a monthly phone call for women in business.  This is a place where businesswomen have open conversation about their success and the challenges they are facing. The last call was all about practical steps, ideas and actions that will propel your business forward. The last part of the call was a dialogue where attendees shared their favorite ways of getting unstuck. This is my favorite:

Get up and go for a 30-minute walk.

I can’t tell you how often this has worked for me, and how often I forget it.

I’m trying to write my company brochure now and I keep getting distracted. So I’m going for a half-hour walk.

Do you have any special tricks for keeping yourself on track and motivated? Please share them in the comments!

Ideally, you’d use some lovely customized stationery with your logo on it, but that can get a little expensive for a small business. So we did a little research and found the very nice Avery Note Cards at your local office supply store. You can print two-sided on them, and you can even print your return address on the envelope! And I only had to lay out about $25 instead of the more than $300 the local printer, Kinko’s, and Vista Print wanted.

My dream web app for GTD

June 2, 2009

Web-based To Do list
